Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I didn't realize it was literally only 3 actors for the whole thing.
2. I also thought it was CGI rather than stop motion puppets.
3. I've heard some strange things about this that I'm curious about.
4. Is hearing everyone with the same voice an actual condition?
5. I do like David Thewlis and Jennifer Jason Leigh anyways.
6. Can't say I've heard of Duke Johnson.
7. Charlie Kaufman is known for a little bit of oddity.
8. I mean he wrote Adaptation that weird Nicolas Cage movie where he played twins.
9. Still can't believe this movie is like a more mature and realistic puppet movie.
10. Reminds me of Team Police just not immature.
Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Oh hearing everyone talk with the same voice would drive me mad.
2. I think I've already gone mad.
3. It's only been 2 minutes. :O
4. Whoa that's quite a string of f bombs lol.
5. That guy would have creeped me out.
6. This whole time before actually watching this I thought the main character wore glasses.
7. It seems it's just the puppets designs that make it look this way.
8. I feel that same way sometimes.
9. Don't patronize your patrons. Never good for business.
10. His accent isn't that hard to understand lol.
11. What the hell kind of phone buttons are those haha?
12. He hates hearing that same voice for extended periods of time.
13. Haha oh my really is everyone.
14. Oh wow uh awkward! O.o
15. Lol that argument sounds hilarious when it's heard as if both are the same person.
16. Yeah I was wondering what kind he meant.
17. This definitely isn't for the kiddos not that I thought it would be haha.
18. Oh wow okay then didn't need that visual.
19. What in the hell just happened?
20. And it just keeps going...
21. Aww isn't she just so adorable!
22. Even more so since she is a klutz.
23. I feel the way she feels sometimes.
24. Is he just using her and attracted because she doesn't have the same voice or does he actually like her?
25. Ah so that's how they came up with the title.
26. Well it's awkward and yet quite realistic.
27. Oh um well okay O.O
28. What in the hell?!
29. Then it gets even weirder!
30. Ah well it was all a dream then okay.
31. Okay quite odd.
Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. It was definitely as odd as I've heard.
2. I don't see how puppet or animated sexuality is so disturbing for some.
3. If that condition is real then I'm glad it isn't something I know.
4. I can see why it was nominated.
5. I'm not sure it's my favorite animation of the year though.

In the Heart of the Sea review
Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 5 February 2016 07:53 (A review of In the Heart of the Sea)Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I been meaning to watch this for some time.
2. The story of Moby Dick was always fun and to see it's inspiration is great.
3. Ron Howard is usually quite an enjoyable director.
4. The cast itself is superb.
5. Charles Leavitt wrote Seventh Son and Blood Diamond which I found both to be enjoyable.
6. More so Blood Diamond of course.
7. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver are known for the newest Planet of the Apes movies as well as Jurassic World.
8. With all this in mind I'm even more excited to finally watch this.
Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. I didn't realize the author of Moby Dick would be portrayed here.
2. Of course you wouldn't want to talk about such an experience.
3. The sets are pretty and the acting is good so far.
4. The tension is predestined.
5. Oh just proving why he should be the captain.
6. I like that it isn't just white guys everywhere.
7. Well that seems like a good way to get rid of it.
8. You sir are an imbecile is what I would tell him.
9. The nerve of some people.
10. Aww dolphins!
11. Interesting history lesson here with how they get the oil.
12. Also eww!
13. That definitely gives that hint of Moby Dick without the revenge part.
14. Holy crap that is a lot of whales!
15. Some animals learn to take action.
16. Those are some of the most dangerous kinds.
17. I don't see how anyone could survive like this.
18. Maybe he just has an itch he is trying to scratch lol.
19. It's funny how tragic events can change peoples attitudes with each other.
20. Well it seems likely that that isn't a good sign.
21. They did that in such a tasteful yet tragic way.
22. That seemed a bit selfish.
23. Wow the actors really worked hard to make this feel realistic.
24. Good sport.
25. The ending is a bit on the sappy side.
Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. It's always amazing when an actor is so committed to their role they physically change dramatically for it.
2. Ron Howard proves that he has still got it.
3. Sometimes in the smaller boats the background looked a bit odd.
4. That was one cruel whale.
5. I was hoping it to be a bit better, but it's still fairly good.
6. I'm surprised that it flopped in the box office though considering the director and stars.

Pound of Flesh review
Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 4 February 2016 05:48 (A review of Pound of Flesh)Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I was just bored on Netflix and came across this.
2. JCVD usually does pretty fun action.
3. Darren Shahlavi is in it.
4. Until today I unfortunately wasn't aware he had passed away :(
5. I hope this film does justice to him in the least it could do.
6. Ernie Barbarash has done a few films I like including the Cube sequels and Assassination Games.
7. I've never heard of Joshua James before.
8. It's amazing how an action movie can deal with a person whose recovering from a stolen kidney.
9. I mean yeah it totally makes since right?
10. Anyways this is mostly just about what cool action sequences they get JCVD to do.
Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Is this one of those where he has to remember everything that happened?
2. Aww RIP you excellent martial artist Darren.
3. I could have done without naked JCVD.
4. The girl acts too normal for what happened.
5. Okay enough JCVD booty please!
6. For stealing his kidney these people did take care of him pretty well and even compensated him.
7. That's the positive I would take from the situation anyways.
8. So what's John Ralston's deal here?
9. Oh never mind question quickly answered.
10. If they act like nothing happened you definitely cannot trust them.
11. Nardo is a badass for a sub-character.
12. Not much he can do against a surprise stab to the throat...
13. There is always a big dude that gives the hero trouble.
14. I'm glad they kind of made a joke out of it this time around.
15. Why did the background look so fake in that shot?
16. How can they be brothers with such vastly different accents?
17. Aww why you gotta make it all emotional!
18. That car scene was interesting and different.
19. I'd have to say that was a pretty weak car chase.
20. Yep Darren Shahlavi does justice here as the villain.
21. A lot of people in this turn out to be pretty nice when they hear about certain situations.
22. Ah they managed to explain the reason why they have different accents. Convenient.
23. Aww that's no fair.
24. Whoa what a twist of events.
25. It's always crazy when a man known for killing tells a man who just started killing needs to chill.
26. A great ending for this movie.
27. Aww they did an in memoriam for Darren Shahlavi!
Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. JCVD can still do some pretty crazy stunts.
2. I will miss Darren Shahlavi.
3. Charlotte Peters is a cutie.
4. For a JCVD movie I was hoping for more great fight scenes.
5. The idea is nice, but the execution was pretty disappointing.

Macbeth review
Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 4 February 2016 02:05 (A review of Macbeth)Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I've been wanting to see this for awhile.
2. Michael Fassbender is such an excellent actor.
3. In fact it has quite a great cast from the other side of the world.
4. Justin Kurzel wrote and directed the disturbing Snowtown Murders film which was pretty good.
5. I have never heard of any of the screenwriters.
6. Michael Lesslie will be writing the upcoming Assassin's Creed film though.
7. I honestly can't say I recall ever seeing an adaptation of Macbeth.
8. I may have read some of it in school though at some point.
9. Amusing how this just so happens to have witches (seeing as I had just watched The Last Witch Hunter).
Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Starts off dark and gloomy.
2. Speaking of witches...
3. Oh dear a little bit of scrolling reading material.
4. The music doesn't give of a peaceful joyous vibe.
5. Everyone is so damn silent it's quite unnerving.
6. Interesting choice to mix normal and slow motion like that.
7. Well this is quite gritty awesome.
8. Oh he can speak took about 10 minutes lol.
9. I swear Shakespeare can be hard to understand at times.
10. I mean I get the gist of it all and I know it's great.
11. Marion Cotillard you make me melt.
12. I wish the people of this time could speak and hear as intelligently as they did in Shakespearean times.
13. There is so much great imagery here.
14. The back and forth thing is getting a little bit repetitive.
15. Damn dude has no chill!
16. These two are definitely disturbed.
17. Is there any point in this that isn't dark or gloomy.
18. It's almost as if smiling doesn't exist lol.
19. Oh no that's just not cool.
20. This is definitely a tragedy.
21. All those visions can't be good for life.
22. You created a monster you cannot control it's all on you.
23. Visually so attractive with it's colors and what have you.
24. "My voice is in my sword." What a great line!
25. A very interesting a different fight than I usually expect.
26. Hmm okay the ending was a bit odd.
Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. Michael Fassbender is still awesome!
2. Shakespearean dialogue occasionally goes over my head. Don't judge me.
3. Sean Harris needs to be these kinds of characters more often.
4. The color palate in the visuals was incredible.
5. I wonder if there is any modernized versions of Macbeth out of curiosity.
6. It was enjoyable, but very different than what I expected.

The Last Witch Hunter review
Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 3 February 2016 08:48 (A review of The Last Witch Hunter)Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I find some Box Office Flops to be mostly just mindless fun.
2. I mean Vin Diesel though...Badass!
3. My love Rose Leslie oh how I enjoy seeing you grace my screen.
4. Her presence makes me even more excited to watch this.
5. Elijah Wood, Michael Caine, and Joseph Gilgun enough said!
6. Sure Sahara wasn't good, but Breck Eisner's The Crazies remake was great.
7. It's concerning that there are 3 writers though.
8. Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless wrote Dracula Untold though which I highly enjoyed.
9. Cory Goodman wrote Priest which was just okay and the upcoming Underworld sequel.
10. Bring on the witches!!
Thoughts While Watching This:
1. I have this feeling the beginning is going to have some kind of writing or narration since these types of movies usually do.
2. Never mind I was wrong or it could be after the prologue.
3. Oh I think these witches are much more interesting than the Hansel & Gretel Witch hunters kind.
4. The only things that could be interesting about living forever is the chance to experience the changes of the world and know which stories were false and which were actual points in history.
5. Ah there is the narration I knew it would come.
6. If only all meetings could be like that one surely was.
7. Trouble is a brewing.
8. The CGI could be better some of it is great while other times it looks a bit cartoonish.
9. See now that makes me not want to trust food establishments lol.
10. That seemed a lot like something the witch from the original Hansel & Gretel would have.
11. Awesome Joseph Gilgun has arrived!
12. Half an hour in and still no Rose Leslie this saddens me.
13. Okay now I'm happy It's about time.
14. Fear me witches!
15. Wait so by dying he became immortal that's interesting!
16. Okay that hand thing was pretty badass.
17. So is the main villain of a witch movie a man? You don't see that too often.
18. Models are actually witches disguising themselves as young beauties makes sense lol.
19. Yeah they definitely need to keep that magic yikes.
20. Ah didn't see that twist coming.
21. How intriguing!
22. Stuff is about to get intense for sure.
23. Well isn't that convenient.
24. Uh yeah that's what he just said...
25. Nails VS Sword yeah okay.
26. Flame on!
27. Oh shit didn't see that coming!
28. Nice the villain actually tries to kill the hero instead of giving a speech of their plan.
29. Ah noooo!
30. Bet he felt real stupid briefly.
31. Of course.
32. Interesting that they decided to do that.
33. I see a red door and I want to paint it black...wait that's definitely not the original.
Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. If I were immortal I wouldn't mind Rose Leslie as my +1.
2. The twists were good and somewhat different.
3. Joseph Gilgun loves being oddball characters.
4. It didn't have quite as much action as I would have liked.
5. The CGI for some things was a bit odd.
6. Some of the writing could have used some editing.
7. It wasn't bad though just okay.

Jarhead 3: The Siege review
Posted : 8 years, 10 months ago on 30 January 2016 10:13 (A review of Jarhead 3: The Siege)I honestly don't know why I bother watching the sequels to Jarhead. They are simply cashing in on the name. They don't even carry along the same general point the first one was making. They are just action films. Now don't get me wrong I liked the second one. It's a good action movie, but it's not Jarhead. This one may not be so lucky. It's a direct to DVD, TV movie, streaming sequel with absolutely no correlation to it's predecessors. The only redeeming qualities are Dennis Haysbert and Scott Adkins. Now I will go ahead and see what this film has to offer in terms of it's own idea. Okay for the most part the action is awesome. Most of the acting was decent except maybe Dante Basco. It does for the most part give a sense of the whole thing with the original Jarhead about not being used to combat and sort of just sitting and waiting. Then it changes and for the last half of the movie there is just non stop action. Would have been cool if they just went and called it The Siege. Other than that it's a decent flick despite the way it's put out there.

The Samaritan review
Posted : 9 years ago on 17 November 2015 06:02 (A review of The Samaritan)Thoughts before I watched this.
1. Most people came here for Samuel L. Jackson.
2. While he is a great reason I came for Ruth Negga.
3. Just something about her that really pulls me in.
4. Well besides being of Ethiopian descent of course.
5. Maybe it's her eyes.
6. There are a few other great cast members like Tom Wilkinson and Deborah Kara Unger.
7. The writer/director is David Weaver whom I've never heard of.
8. His co-writer is Elan Mastai who also worked on What If (which was pretty terrible).
9. I am doubtful that this will be good, but we shall see.
"After twenty years in prison, Foley is finished with the grifter's life. When he meets an elusive young woman named Iris, the possibility of a new start looks real. But his past is proving to be a stubborn companion."
Thoughts while I watched this.
1. Whoa that was definitely an interesting start.
2. There's the man.
3. Now I know it's only a minute in, but I was hoping she would be in the opening haha.
4. Oh fun it has a narrative... *sighs*
5. I guess it works here though.
6. Parole officer sir that better be just tobacco you're rolling up.
7. Yeah life moves on while you're in prison.
8. Okay five minutes in now still no Ruth.
9. Oh really is that all you want?
10. There she is now I'm satisfied.
11. What's wrong with you Foley?!
12. Hey isn't that one of the teachers from Degrassi?
13. Tom Wilkinson nice!
14. Oh damn that was quite unexpectedly gory.
15. It's interesting to see this kind of story done differently.
16. That's definitely a tough call to make.
17. Younger than he is now seems a bit unlikely.
18. Lol this bartender is amusing.
19. The odds would be in my favor if I was him.
20. That guy seems like a jerk.
21. Noooo!
22. I would not let that slide at all.
23. Well 2nd chances are hard to come by in these situations.
24. That's a disturbing and sad thing to just out and say.
25. So she seems like a nymphomaniac with the way she just throws sex into convos.
26. Ruth Negga oh my!
27. What a lucky man...
28. Such dysfunctional people, but they do make a cute couple.
29. So a montage of living life okay.
30. Yeah it was kind of obvious because she said something then.
31. Of course that's what happened.
32. Making shower moments emotional aww.
33. Now that's what I was expecting from this.
34. You can't trust someone when you killed their father!
35. That's just not right man.
36. Yikes I was not expecting that!
37. Well I'm officially disturbed.
38. Wait so basically this is the Oldboy remake before the Oldboy remake.
39. If you can't keep your people in line what kind of leader does that make you?
40. Nothing better happen!
41. Man you go girl!
42. Lol that was funny and kind of cool
43. Sometimes the truth is better left unsaid.
44. Aww poor Iris.
45. Well that was unexpected.
46. Interesting I wonder if that actually is a place that would kill you.
47. Don't mess with Samuel L. Jackson he knows things.
48. Wait that dude is out of prison?
49. Well that's convenient then.
50. I don't understand why he is doing it?
51. He could basically just end it all yet he agrees.
52. Another montage...
53. Deborah Kara Unger's character comes off odd to me.
54. Well that was slightly unexpected, but having such a well known actor barely in a movie he would have had to be what it's all about.
55. Hey Ethan calm down nobody likes you anyways, but that's unnecessary.
56. Lol you tell him Foley!
57. Hey of course he would be suspect if you knew what happened.
58. So is Ruth going to show up again?
59. See now you are just asking for it.
60. I guess I wondered too soon about Iris.
61. She is oblivious smh.
62. He needs a good asswhooping.
63. Uh oh well that changes things!
64. Karma is a bitch.
65. Well that is coincidentally odd.
66. Oh man it better be.
67. I'm ready for Ethan to bite the dust.
68. Wow that's feeling a little close to home I would think.
69. I smell trouble.
70. Something is really fishy here.
71. Oh damn!
72. Wonderful twist of events and truths revealed!
73. Oh badass!
74. That was hardcore!
75. Noooo I had a feeling that would happen, but no not Iris!
76. What an ending!
77. I mean it's a bit cheesy but sweet.
Thoughts after I watched this.
1. I appreciate Ruth Negga even more.
2. Even when Samuel L. Jackson doesn't want to be a badass he still is.
3. The acting was pretty damn good.
4. I thought all the characters were really interesting.
5. It doesn't rely on action, but when things happen you can bet there will be quite a lot of blood.
6. The story has been done before though unfortunately.
7. Sure many stories have been told over and over.
8. Oldboy though was already remade albeit after this, but they both had Samuel L. Jackson.
9. Also this isn't quite as awesome as the first one of it's type I saw.
10. I mean it's still a decent one time watch.
11. It's really nothing special.
12. It does seem that maybe this was part of the reason Ruth Negga was in Agents of SHIELD.
13. Anyways if you decide to watch it I'm sure you will find it is entertaining.

Mean Creek review
Posted : 9 years ago on 16 November 2015 03:31 (A review of Mean Creek)Thoughts before I watched this.
1. To this day I still here this movie mentioned when it comes to revenge flicks.
2. As to why I haven't seen this I'm not even sure.
3. It has a pretty good cast including the once chunky Josh Peck.
4. I need to do whatever he did because it's really working for him
5. It's written and directed by Jacob Aaron Estes.
6. He is known for The Details starring Tobey Maguire and will be directing the upcoming Rings sequel.
7. It's looking like a Scott Mechlowicz double feature right now.
"When a teen is bullied, his brother and friends lure the bully into the woods to seek vengeance."
Thoughts while I watched this.
1. Wait that is not who I thought was the bully.
2. I actually thought the bully would be Scott Mechlowicz because he sort of matches it.
3. Rocky is a pretty nice older brother.
4. So it seems everyone here has some kind of issue.
5. Target practice for what though.
6. That explains him a bit.
7. Lol so girls rehearse stuff for dates too huh?
8. He doesn't seem like THAT bad of a kid.
9. That brother is a grade A jerk.
10. I mean not only that but his name is Kile who uses an i?
11. His friend is a loser too.
12. I approve of Millie she is a good influence.
13. George is really just annoying.
14. He is spitting all into that camera.
15. Lol it's peanut butter and jelly.
16. I can't put my finger oh what George is trying to do.
17. Oops you done messed up.
18. Truth or Dare is always entertaining.
19. Of course it's okay.
20. That however is not okay dude.
21. It's all fun and games until you say something wrong.
22. You went way too far.
23. Have we all learned a lesson?
24. The acting that happens after that is just remarkable.
25. Mean Creek 2: Ghost of George
26. Okay then somebody needs to chill.
27. Yeah buddy that date was an epic fail.
28. Well now that everyone is down in the dumps I am too.
29. So what is everyone going to do now?
30. Oh man I don't think this is going to end well.
31. Well that was an interesting ending for sure.
Thoughts after I watched this.
1. I can see why so many people liked this.
2. It isn't your typical sort of revenge story.
3. The fact that everyone and every action here is very human is quite powerful.
4. Many would find this a bit slow, but that's what sets this apart from the rest.
5. It's very well acted for such young people who mostly all are still acting today.
6. The music really added to the sadness of the atmosphere.
7. If you don't like a slower artsy kind of film then I wouldn't recommend this.
8. Other than that I thought this was well worth a watch.

Undocumented review
Posted : 9 years ago on 15 November 2015 07:49 (A review of Undocumented)Thoughts before I watched this.
1. This has been on my to watch list for 4 years.
2. I'm not entirely sure why I didn't watch it then, but I've decided to finally give it a shot.
3. Apparently people say this is a disturbing kind of movie.
4. It has a few great TV actors and freaking Peter Stormare.
5. This seems to be the only film from writer/director Chris Peckover.
6. The same goes for co-writer Joe Peterson.
7. Without further ado let's get this show on the road.
"A documentary crew accompany a group of illegal immigrants crossing the Border, but their plans run afoul when they are captured by a gang of sadistic radicals in New Mexico."
Thoughts while I watched this.
1. The way this was talked about I assumed it was pure found footage.
2. It is not.
3. Aww the poor guy!
4. Sometimes America really sucks...
5. Really not a smart boyfriend.
6. Dirty old man as usual.
7. The families here are so loving.
8. Isn't it a bad idea to film illegal immigrants to show to people even if for a good reason.
9. They can easily be reported by someone unless they block their faces I suppose.
10. That doesn't seem like a good sign at all.
11. Ah from here on it looks like it will be found footage.
12. Oh man that's no good.
13. That's messed up.
14. Yeah saying your American doesn't work as well as it used to.
15. Why ARE they blindfolded?
16. That's a disturbing sight to see.
17. You don't have to see his face to know that voice.
18. How sad is that! :(
19. So I find it disturbing that Peter Stormare's character has such a strong accent so he is possibly an immigrant too albeit possibly legal.
20. So to think that legal immigrants killing illegal immigrants is actually pretty haunting compared to born Americans doing it as well.
21. Not that either is anything to take lightly.
22. Everyone isn't a drug lord or mule though.
23. That's wrong on so many levels.
24. Well things are quite twisted for sure.
25. This guy is way too happy to be here.
26. Yeah so that's proof that some of these guys are either here legally or born here.
27. So unfair and cruel.
28. This is a truly tough scene to watch.
29. Wow!
30. So heartbreaking.
31. Well that was a close call if ever there was one.
32. That was so unsettling!
33. That would be the first time I turned down pancakes.
34. The "scarecrow" guy is want sick dude!
35. Man these guys are just plain evil.
36. Not just evil but psychotic as well.
37. What a horrid party.
38. Brutal times, brutal measures.
39. Kind of bittersweet ending.
40. There is little clips during the credits of actual border crossing incidents.
Thoughts after I watched this.
1. It's a movie that shows a story that is very likely something that happens.
2. It is well acted and the characters are interesting.
3. They utilize every character well except for maybe the boyfriend.
4. For once not a lot of this is predictable.
5. It's heartwrenching and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
6. Chris Peckover and Joe Peterson need to keep doing movies.
7. I recommend giving this a watch as long as you aren't squeamish.

Chillerama review
Posted : 9 years ago on 15 November 2015 07:14 (A review of Chillerama)15. Oh the director was Joe Lynch how unfortunate.
16. No wonder he didn't use his actual name.
(Other Thoughts)
1. The ending of the whole thing was great.
2. It wasn't what I was expecting at all.
3. There are a few extra scenes during the credits.
4. Three of them are musical numbers.
5. I could have done without them.
6. The third musical number was actually directed by Bear McCreary who is known for composing at least one thing you've probably seen.
7. At least the video of it was amusing.
8. Very end of the credits is a cute little like 2 seconds.
Thoughts after I watched this.
1. Talk about offensive.
2. Not only do most of these cross some lines, but they aren't even enjoyably awful.
3. I don't think anyone would enjoy most of the crap that happens in this film.
4. There is way too much reliance on adult potty humor.
5. It's like they are trying to cater to adult babies (AKA grown ups who think these kinds of jokes are all funny).
6. At some points it tries to make something absolutely unfunny and add elements that want to make you laugh.
7. This is an anthology you should skip!
8. The only part worth watching is Zom-B-Movie at it's still pretty gross.
9. If you don't mind that just skip through all the segments and just watch the theater stuff.
10. At least the acting in it is better than everything else.
11. The only other segment I found kind of enjoyable was The Diary of Anne Frankenstein.
12. I found it kind of amusing albeit extremely offensive.
13. Anyways I really recommend just skipping this one!
