Haunter review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 12 February 2016 08:07 (A review of Haunter)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. It's been sitting on my to watch list for some time.
2. I wasn't aware of the other actors, but I knew about Abigail Breslin.
3. Not sure why I never watched it.
4. Maybe I was just busy or something.
5. Anyways while browsing Netflix it caught my eye.
6. So I decided to go ahead and watch it.
7. The plot seems like a fairly original twist on things.
8. Vincenzo Natalie has been involved with quite a bit of things I enjoyed like Hemlock Grove, Cube (movie), Splice, and Darknet.
9. Brian King however wrote The Night Train which wasn't very good, but it could have been worse.
10. Let's see how he fairs as just the writer.
11. I mean with Vincenzo Natali I'm sure this will be worth it.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. The opening credits felt like part of a TV show.
2. It almost had a Hemlock Grove feel to it.
3. That outside is eerie as hell.
4. She knows something they don't then.
5. This is different.
6. I like how it starts in the middle of what is happening.
7. It could be fun for awhile and then yeah it would get old.
8. Things are definitely curiouser and curiouser.
9. Oh quite a great spin on things.
10. What the hell?
11. Okay I'm digging the shroud of mystery here.
12. Whoa someone needs to chill.
13. I think it best to listen.
14. You can't trust those eyes.
15. Oh that's just creepy.
16. I wonder if that's who I think it is.
17. Oh that was a cool idea.
18. That makes sense
19. I wonder about it myself.
20. Hmm okay then.
21. Ghostception!
22. Man this has me guessing!
23. That's messed up.
24. Strange indeed.
25. I hope the reveal is as great as this has been so far.
26. Uh oh!
27. What a neat little twist to things.
28. I was expecting that to go another way.
29. Ah so that explains it.
30. Nice turn of events!
31. Aww such a great moment.
32. Interesting that they decided to use this effect for this part.
33. Oh shit!
34. Now that's what I'm talking about.
35. Haha nice one.
36. Good ending.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. Ah nice an original idea to an old theme.
2. Abigail Breslin and Peter Outerbridge were the most memorable.
3. Stephen McHattie was an excellent villain though for sure.
4. I liked the whole mystery to it all.
5. The Groundhog Day style was a fun and sensible way to do this.
6. This was way better than The Night Train.
7. I guess that's because of Vincenzo Natali.
8. The guy has yet to make something I loathe.
9. I definitely recommend this for horror fans wanting a fresh take on things.
10. Far from perfect, but definitely worth the time.

Kill Me Three Times review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 11 February 2016 07:52 (A review of Kill Me Three Times)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. Honestly other than Simon Pegg I didn't care about this one to much.
2. Although I do like Alice Braga and Teresa Palmer.
3. Also I've only seen one another Luke Hemsworth movie so I haven't decided if he is as cool as his brothers.
4. Also it didn't seem this was well received.
5. Then again it's me what do I care?
6. Kriv Stenders hasn't directed anything else I've seen.
7. This is the only writing credit for James McFarland.
8. Anyways it's on Netflix so not a big deal.
9. Also my friend liked it and we usually agree on movies.
10. Now let's check this out.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. I dig the opening credits.
2. No one ever complains about Simon Pegg narration.
3. This is probably the most against type I have seen Simon Pegg.
4. That makes this all the more interesting.
5. Oh damn that is quite a bit of blood.
6. Lol this guy.
7. Haha oh shit!
8. Hmm what is going on here?
9. Camera binoculars!
10. Definitely an interesting turn of events.
11. Lol such an asshole.
12. That almost went hilariously wrong.
13. Probably some of the worst criminals ever haha.
14. Okay Teresa Palmer is interesting in a villainous role.
15. That actually look quite pretty for some reason.
16. Oh damn that was crazy.
17. Callan Mulvey is so odd looking.
18. Everything isn't always so simple.
19. Well hello Alice Braga ;)
20. Bryan Brown kind of looks like a discount Australian version of Michael Caine.
21. That is some pretty money!
22. Lol at that sign.
23. I almost thought that splash would hit him.
24. So many twists and turns.
25. Is anybody here a good person?
26. Then again that's real life.
27. Of course...sigh.
28. Sneaky little booger.
29. Bryan Brown is pretty awesome for a discount Michael Caine.
30. Calm down Mrs. Grumpy it's important.
31. Everything is heating up.
32. Oh damn didn't expect that.
33. OH SHIT!
34. Come on dude don't sass a professional.
35. Damn the violence doesn't happen often, but when it does wow!
36. LMAO that's pretty funny.
37. That was insane!
38. Well that was ballsy.
39. The plot thickens even more.
40. Teresa Palmer come on be like Alice Braga lol.
41. Didn't see that coming.
42. Holy hell this movie is just plain wheels off.
43. Hilarious, fun, and great ending.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. Simon Pegg is even fun as a not so good guy.
2. The twists are plentiful and keep you guessing.
3. They definitely weren't afraid of using a lot of blood here.
4. All the unexpected shootings of our characters reminded me a lot of The Departed.
5. All the twists do get a bit out of hand though hindering it from being more than just good.
6. Everyone here does an excellent job with their characters though.
7. I thought it was worth the one time watch.

Jamesy Boy review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 10 February 2016 07:07 (A review of Jamesy Boy)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I've been meaning to watch this for some time.
2. I didn't realize it was based on a true story.
3. I also forgot all the big names that were in it.
4. Seeing as it's on Netflix I decided to go ahead and check it out.
5. I mean it has slightly over 4 stars there.
6. It's Trevor White's only credit for writing and directing so far.
7. Lane Shadgett has only written one other film that I plan to see eventually.
8. Anyways time to finally see what this is all about.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Well somebody definitely has an attitude.
2. Damn he has done a lot!
3. Of course he is going to be judged harshly.
4. It seems some of his problems stem from his environment.
5. Also peer pressure doesn't help.
6. Guess he made his name known around there.
7. I wonder how old he is in the prison scenes.
8. I'm sure I will be finding out.
9. Taboo playing a thug interesting.
10. I almost didn't recognize him.
11. He didn't even throw the first punch.
12. Also damn those guards were prepared.
13. These two are definitely bad influences.
14. Aww poor Mary.
15. Cold blooded dude.
16. Uh oh shower scene trouble will most likely...
17. Yep.
18. So I'm guessing he is still underage in this prison or just old enough.
19. Damn Rosa Salazar!
20. Rock seems pretty cool I mean despite his criminal personality.
21. Damn this kid is hardcore.
22. Sometimes rules are made to be broken.
23. Dude come on!
24. Hello there ladies.
25. Lol yeah that's what it looks like.
26. I want to meet Mercedes lol.
27. Hmm it seems she is playing him.
28. Ving Rhames always gets typecasted in prison movies lol.
29. So this kid made his presence known and is pretty much treated like a leader wow!
30. That girl is truly bad news.
31. Whoa dude chill.
32. It's interesting how certain people can have such impact on one's life.
33. He isn't a horrible person, but he just doesn't understand everything.
34. Oh man why would they send him?
35. At least he did one smart thing there.
36. Dang messed up.
37. Such a great scene for sure.
38. Well well well.
39. I mean I expected as much.
40. Aww how adorable.
41. The system man.
42. I wouldn't want that.
43. Oh shit no!
44. Aww man that was messed up...
45. Sometimes things just go south.
46. Just keep pulling at the heart strings why don't ya?
47. So when things get hard while trying to be good he just gives up.
48. Tough love.
49. He is very right about it all.
50. He inspires even for those who have been to prison.
51. The ending was quite amazing.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. It's amazing to think how people can change for the better or the worse.
2. The acting here is incredible and to think this guy is unknown.
3. I think the veteran actors help it along as well.
4. The writing is powerful.
5. It was an emotional ride.
6. It's definitely going to be in my head for awhile.
7. I feel motivated to try harder in my life.
8. If someone who had that kind of life can become successful why can't I?
9. I definitely recommend this one to be watched.

The Crow: Wicked Prayer review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 10 February 2016 12:24 (A review of The Crow: Wicked Prayer)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. Edward Furlong and Tara Reid really???
2. Well at least there is David Boreanaz, Danny Trejo, and Dennis Hopper.
3. I know this will be painful to sit through.
4. At least it isn't the longest sequel.
5. This one is the only part to be based off a novelization rather than just the comics.
6. It took three screenwriters including the director to make this.
7. It looks like this killed Lance Mungia's career as this is his second and last film.
8. Sean Hood wrote the average Conan The Barbarian (2011) and Cube 2.
9. Unfortunately he wrote Legend of Hercules as well as Halloween: Resurrection.
10. This is Norman Partridge's only credit.
11. This is Jeff Most's only writing credit.
12. None of this sounds promising.
13. Also considering the bad rating and bashing of it.
14. Anyways time to get this over with.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. FUBU films?
2. No wonder Daymond John cameos here.
3. I didn't know I was going to have to read.
4. There is a lot of shit happening right now.
5. I do like this whole Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse thing.
6. Nobody notices her really?
7. Maybe it is because it's from a church I guess.
8. Why in the hell are kids playing around near the church that is near a factory protest which just so happens to have inmates doing community service nearby?
9. That is all way to convenient and nonsensical.
10. It took three people to write this ridiculousness?
11. Hey though David Boreanaz!
12. Guess it's because of the whole symbolism and what not.
13. Still though the kids definitely should not have been around there.
14. What is with the bag of scorpions?
15. One thing I do like is that this one is actually letting us get to know the characters.
16. I guess that explains the scorpions then.
17. That cop brother is a true prick.
18. Uh oh.
19. Oh so they know each other huh?
20. So since we are seeing this as it happens this is going to have flashbacks right?
21. Yet we still get flashbacks just not of the killing.
22. So Angelus?
23. Why is his squad so disturbed by the violence?
24. I mean come on why be a part of something that disturbs you?
25. That moon shot looks straight out of Buffy The Vampire Slayer lol.
26. That seemed a bit random, but okay.
27. Aww damn I want some deviled eggs!
28. I don't like all these rapid/slow motion scenes.
29. So it took half an hour before we finally have our Crow...
30. Still we get some flashbacks of other times.
31. Okay I guess we are still going to get the killing flashback as well which is just unnecessary.
32. The flashbacks this time are red.
33. Why do flashbacks need to be color coded?
34. Just like it's supposed to be where he doesn't know what is going on.
35. Lol sharpie marks lame!
36. He looks more emo than the previous Crows.
37. At least his outfit is nice.
38. Lol at Daymond John's ridiculous cameo.
39. The pregnant lady scene was kind of amusing.
40. Nah you aren't hallucinating.
41. Okay that "Ow" made me lol.
42. Damn a fly-zapper!
43. Lol again at Daymond John.
44. She was been sitting there all day and still hasn't called the cops or anything??
45. Oh look green flashbacks again just like the second movie.
46. That's definitely new.
47. Wait some serious editing errors here.
48. Famine is wearing that masks in some shots and in others he isn't.
49. Why show him putting something on that keeps disappearing?
50. Damn they figure shit out fast in this one.
51. That's just plain evil.
52. Good lord how many times is Daymond John going to show up?
53. Dude looks a mess trying to run.
54. I didn't know Crows could do that either.
55. Oh it's about time he showed up.
56. Seriously this has to be a joke.
57. That is the fakest cry I've seen.
58. *Rolling eyes*
59. Dude can't act at all.
60. Whenever he speaks it feels like part of a soap opera.
61. LMFAO!!!
62. Wait what?
63. Oh damn Buffy flashbacks.
64. Dude shut up!
65. Um okay then?
66. I'm getting really confused now.
67. I'd have to say this is the weakest a Crow has been.
68. Tara Reid please shut up.
69. Thank God no more Daymond John.
70. Was it necessary to lose the shirt?
71. Still a better ending than the other two.

Thoughts After I Watched this:
1. I felt like this way too comedic.
2. The deaths except maybe for the final one were just pathetic.
3. The acting is extremely corny.
4. This was doomed from the get go with it's cast and production company.
5. I got through it though.
6. The first one is really the only one that matters.
7. These sequels shouldn't exist.
8. I watched them so you wouldn't have to.

The Crow: Salvation review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 9 February 2016 09:20 (A review of The Crow: Salvation)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. So I decided to go ahead and finish the series.
2. It's all on Netflix so why not.
3. It has a decent cast although Eric Mabius is quite an odd choice for The Crow.
4. Bharat Nalluri directed episodes of Torchwood and The 100.
5. He also directed the Spooks movie.
6. For me that gives a little hope this is watchable.
7. Chip Johannessen however hasn't written any other films.
8. The unfortunate thing is that this is the longest of the sequels.
9. Now let's see just how this fairs with the first two.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. That arm doesn't look so good.
2. Why does they keep looping this shot?
3. Pretty bad opening credits scene if you ask me.
4. Aren't they supposed to shave his head?
5. Eric Mabius is very uncharismatic as the lead here.
6. So it's going to be a mystery what happened this time.
7. The burning effect that causes the scars and such make this more horror like than the rest of the movies.
8. Wait wtf how does that work?
9. He accepts things pretty quickly with no explanation.
10. Damn that barbed wire fence did a number.
11. Well Jodi Lyn O'Keefe looks way different than she did here.
12. Those are some intense reactions to the flashbacks.
13. Seriously she doesn't recognize him?
14. I don't see how nobody can tell it's him or they must be in denial.
15. The make up effects for the scarred arm are just plain horrible.
16. So the pig is a pig lol.
17. That felt like the strip artist scene from the second film.
18. This continues the trend of weird fetishes.
19. I do like the soundtrack for sure.
20. Oh I like that crow symbol.
21. Wait that guy seriously doesn't even freak out?
22. Oh damn with better CGI it would have been even more badass.
23. He just saw him do that and thinks he cares that he is an officer lol.
24. Ow that's gotta hurt.
25. About time someone realized it.
26. The way stuff explodes in these is pretty funny.
27. I really despise this Crows look with his burn marks and prison clothes.
28. Did this cop seriously just say he was quoting John Wilkes Boothe?
29. Oooh the plot thickens.
30. Lol he pulled a Batman.
31. Okay what was the point of staging a suicide if it didn't fool anyone?
32. I was like everyone is leaving pretty fast and wondering why she just stands there.
33. Oh that was smart!
34. Hell yeah!
35. That was actually a pretty great moment.
36. Oh man really?
37. Lol seriously what DID he do that for?!
38. Okay Fred Ward is probably the best thing about this.
39. Ouch that doesn't look pleasant.
40. Oh shit that was quick and almost missed how it happened.
41. Smooth move.
42. I actually thought the death scenes were a bit better than the previous installment.
43. Lol what the hell was that?
44. Another weak ending.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. Eric Mabius and Kirsten Dunst were poor casting choices.
2. Fred Ward is one of the few redeeming qualities here.
3. There were a few good deaths scenes.
4. It had it's moments though.
5. I would say it wasn't worth the length of time it took to watch.

The Crow: City of Angels review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 9 February 2016 08:25 (A review of The Crow: City of Angels)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I have been meaning to go ahead and get this series over with.
2. Brandon Lee was excellent!
3. To make sequels to such a performance would never equal up.
4. I don't even know who the main actor is.
5. At least it has a few decent actors more so Thomas Jane and Mia Kirshner.
6. Tim Pope is really only known for music collection movies.
7. If that's not proof that this shouldn't even have been attempted I don't know what is.
8. It's the only The Crow film written by David S. Goyer known for comic book films
9. At least it's short.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Great a narration.
2. A flashback or dream?
3. Why is it green though?
4. That looked so low budget though.
5. Hello there Mia Kirshner.
6. Scene kind of reminded me of a part in the first one.
7. Don't be a creeper lady.
8. Yeah so far acting is super corny.
9. That just felt goofy.
10. Did that beetle have a leash??
11. That's some unusual bondage, but then again when is bondage not unusual.
12. Running in unison with the beat of the song lol.
13. Lol that kid is easily interested in loud noises.
14. At least he looks cool.
15. This guy lol what in the world?!
16. The trees just flame on randomly.
17. Iggy Pop acting like a gang member just makes me laugh.
18. So much random nudity throughout...
19. Eww Thomas Jane stop!
20. This scene sort of reminds me of The Danish Girl which I had watched earlier lol.
21. Lol that's funny and weird at the same time.
22. Damn that dude got messed up.
23. So he's in love and they haven't even had much interaction okay.
24. Come on Yellow Ranger!
25. Oh wait I mean no you're a villain.
26. This movie is really loving these green flashbacks.
27. Oh damn!
28. Okay that imagery was awesome.
29. Iggy Pop playing a drug addict pretty much works however.
30. That was pretty cool.
31. Lol bird dick is the insult that he went with?
32. Isn't it obvious that you are afraid! lol
33. I actually find this guy interesting enough as another crow resurrectee.
34. Hey look it's The Deftones!
35. Dude that's just cruel!
36. What's with all the references?
37. This guy is actually a decent villain.
38. What in the world just happened?
39. Those effects didn't seem necessary.
40. Okay that's how it ends?

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. I like that they never try to replace Brandon Lee with these sequels.
2. The acting from the villains here is pretty corny.
3. I appreciate Vincent Perez's The Crow.
4. To be honest the writing here didn't feel like the issue.
5. Some of the lines were great and even the events that take place.
6. What messes it all up is the corny acting and directing.
7. My favorite scene though would have to be the fight with Kali.
8. It is far from the worst thing I've seen.
9. If this is the best sequel though I'm not sure if I will like the other two.
10. It was okay to watch just the once.

The Danish Girl review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 8 February 2016 11:39 (A review of The Danish Girl)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. Times are still hard for transgendered people these days so it should be interesting to see what it was like in the very beginning.
2. I've always thought Eddie Redmayne had a sort of feminine look about him.
3. I'm sure after this I'm going to adore Alicia Vikander even more.
4. It's based off a novel that's based off of a real person.
5. Tom Hooper has directed Les Miserables and The King's Speech.
6. With that said I'm sure this will be a force to be reckoned with.
7. This is the first movie I've seen written by Lucinda Coxon.
8. The interesting thing I noticed is that 2015 has been open to a lot more transgender storylines.
9. It took America awhile to allow this.
10. Now that it has I hope people will be even more accepting.
11. People are people despite gender.
12. Anyways time to check this out before I go on and on.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Awe the beautiful shots of nature
2. They are such an adorable couple.
3. I bet she isn't shy.
4. Yep this definitely makes me adore Alicia Vikander even more.
5. What a jerk...
6. So that's how it began to come out.
7. Oh man that would have been too awkward.
8. Haha I've had to ask that before.
9. Hey there booty! lol
10. Nice twist of words.
11. I would have been corrupted by them too.
12. She certainly isn't shy right now.
13. Oh man that has to are you doing this to me right now?
15. These have such great chemistry together!
16. He really pulls off this look.
17. I wish I could pull peoples attention sometimes.
18. I thought the mirror scene was beautifully and tastefully done.
19. Ah the misunderstanding of what is going on.
20. Oh that's an interesting revelation.
21. Uh oh what is going on?
22. Chemical imbalance ugh people...
23. Some people are just cruel.
24. The good that comes with the bad.
25. See personally I couldn't turn that down.
26. Well that was different and quite interesting.
27. This guy is quite coolheaded.
28. To paint yourself is definitely proof of skill.
29. Oh come on.
30. People are so cruel.
31. Even more so when they don't understand.
32. Interesting how she was the first, but not the first who wanted to try.
33. Aww poor Hans.
34. Gerda has to be one of the sweetest wives even if at first she didn't understand she grew to it.
35. Everything has become vastly different than when I started this.
36. Such a passionate ending.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. I feel like I understand more about transsexualism now.
2. Eddie Redmayne can play women just as well if not better than he plays men.
3. I absolutely adore Alicia Vikander even more than before I started this.
4. Tom Hooper has yet to disappoint me.
5. I wish the supporting characters had more to do here since they are played by quite well known actors.
6. It's not a simple thing to explain why these things happen, but honestly I don't think that's the point.
7. I've had friends who have been through the same things so I wanted to see something that could help understand things a bit better.
8. Anyways I really enjoyed this, but it's doubtful I would watch it again.
9. It's a good story just not one of those types of films with rewatchability in my opinion.

The Sisterhood of Night review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 8 February 2016 08:51 (A review of The Sisterhood of Night)

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I've actually been wanting to see this for awhile, but I never put forth any effort.
2. It has a fairly memorable cast with Kara Hayward, Georgie Henley, and Kal Penn.
3. Apparently it's based off of a short story which I wasn't aware of.
4. If anything I would have expected an entire novel like usual.
5. This is the only film directed by Caryn Waechter.
6. The screenwriter Marilyn Fu is only credited for this film and even has a cameo.
7. I'm finally watched it since it is on Netflix.
8. Hopefully it's as interesting as it looked when it first caught my attention.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. So is it a full fledged mystery?
2. Georgie Henley is not the innocent little girl she was on The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe anymore.
3. The characters are pretty interesting so far.
4. Okay what the hell was with that?
5. This really makes me curious about what went down.
6. Also I want to know what the sisterhood is myself.
7. Mary's creep factor is high.
8. Oh the mystery is driving me mad.
9. What if it's all actually innocent?
10. Rumors can escalate past the norm.
11. It's not fair that Louis Ozawa Changchien doesn't play a badass here.
12. Although he does play a father well.
13. Aww I absolutely adore Gong-Gong
14. Hmm some hint about the sisterhood I feel I know.
15. Uh oh that isn't good.
16. And it only gets worse!
17. Perception is reality unless otherwise realized.
18. Aww that's just cruel.
19. Interesting and different.
20. That's definitely not what I would have guessed.
21. I love that the route this takes with its genre.
22. What a great ending!

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. I absolutely adore the characters here especially Mary Warren and Lavinia Hall.
2. Everything isn't always as it seems!
3. I loved the idea of it all.
4. The storytelling was great.
5. The acting itself positively reinforced that.
6. More people should give this one a look!
7. If you feel nothing by the end then there is something wrong.

Love (2015) review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 8 February 2016 05:29 (A review of Love (2015))

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. From the trailer I could tell this would have similar controversy like Nymphomaniac.
2. Then ever worse so it was Not Rated which is basically NC-17 considering the material.
3. The main poster isn't very tasteful and makes me kind of uncomfortable.
4. We showed this at my theater for like a week or two.
5. It did pretty bad since several people had walked out due to it basically being a porno.
6. It was also in 3D which is just more awkward given what I've heard.
7. Now the thing is on Netflix so I figured I would go ahead and see what the deal is.
8. Gaspar Noe is known for making unusual films of which I've only seen Irreversible.
9. I hope the story turns out to be good.
10. At least there isn't anyone here to feel uncomfortable with like at a theater.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Well damn they get pretty straight to the point.
2. Definitely graphic and surprised to see this on Netflix.
3. At least Nymphomaniac was seemingly simulated or at least involved prosthetics.
4. I'm just glad this is with attractive people lol.
5. Then again duh.
6. That shot lasted about 3 minutes O.o
7. Also yeah definitely not faking it.
8. This guy is way too gloomy.
9. Dude are you serious right now?
10. He is lucky to have what he has.
11. Other than Nymphomaniac this reminds me of The Dreamers.
12. This dude is so veiny he almost feels like a vampire.
13. Quit moping around it's basically your fault.
14. Electra's accent omg!
15. There is this weird cut that keeps happening throughout.
16. Not sure if it's just me or some weird intentional art thing.
17. Her acting is a bit off it seems.
18. Some shots look like they could be used for paintings.
19. So we are getting a how everything came to be.
20. Wait say what?
21. I would say that should be a deal breaker, but hey it's all you.
22. This is most definitely intense.
23. It keeps going back to scenes and shots and either adding something or staying pretty much the exact same way.
24. That's an interesting mechanism.
25. European women

Safelight (2015) review

Posted : 8 years, 9 months ago on 6 February 2016 09:30 (A review of Safelight (2015))

Thoughts Before I Watched This:
1. I've never heard of this.
2. I was scrolling through Netflix and this caught my eye.
3. The plot seems interesting enough.
4. What really caught my eye is one of my hugest crushes (Juno Temple) is in it!
5. It has quite an impressive cast with Evan Peters, Kevin Alejandro, and Ariel Winter as well.
6. This is the first film that Tony Aloupis directed, but his second for writing.
7. Seeing as it is under the radar I'm sure people haven't given it much of a chance.
8. Well let's see if it should stay hidden.

Thoughts While I Watched This:
1. Oh there is my girl already!
2. Kevin Alejandro's buttcrack and the fact he is shirtless disturbs me.
3. Gotta say this is his first character I can say I despise.
4. I wonder if he is similar to Walter Jr.
5. Well he isn't quite the same, but his look is similar.
6. That looks so much like fake sleeping.
7. She seems fun to work with.
8. Don Stark still pretty much looks like he did on That 70s Show.
9. I don't think I could work properly with Juno Temple around.
10. Oh I guess his dad has some kind of illness.
11. Now it makes sense.
12. The lighthouse pictures are a beautiful idea.
13. These movies I've been watching love flashing dude butts lol.
14. I swear that one lady reminds me of one of my grandma's friends.
15. Always beware of the lady friend.
16. I can see how it could affect how relationships should go.
17. Danger is a brewing.
18. So why did he freak out the first time, but was calm this time?
19. Well that wasn't the conflict I expected.
20. Some people are just plain cruel.
21. The guy must be on drugs.
22. What the hell was that?
23. This really feels like a Nicholas Sparks story.
24. Desert sunsets really?
25. I guess that was on okay ending.
26. For some reason there is a little extra scene after the credits that doesn't really add anything.

Thoughts After I Watched This:
1. I still love me some Juno Temple!
2. This felt a lot like Nicholas Sparks just not quite as sappy.
3. The ending was just bland compared with the rest of it.
4. Some problems never got solved, but I guess that's the point?
5. It takes place in the 70s, but unless some things are mentioned in dialogue and such it could have passed for otherwise.
6. It's not a bad watch though.
7. Just good enough to see at least once.
