The Best Man Holiday review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 6 March 2014 05:16 (A review of The Best Man Holiday)

This was really good in my opinion. There is some comedy throughout, but it had a more dramatic tone to it. I didn't realize until long after I had watched this that it is a sequel to a late 90s film with the same cast! Also I just adored the cast which includes Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Harold Perrineau, Melissa De Sousa, Monica Calhoun, and token white guy Eddie Cibrian. Oh wait nevermind John Michael Higgins is also in this. This also has an interracial relationship which I am quite fond of since I am a part of the percentage that is in such a relationship. I always enjoy seeing that the world is becoming quite adapted to the love of a person instead of their color which still happens, but it is more infrequent now. Anyways I thought this was really well done. It's an emotional roller coaster that's for sure, but it is worth checking out.

Caffeine review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 6 March 2014 05:08 (A review of Caffeine)

I thoroughly enjoyed this quirky little hidden gem. It is pretty funny and awkward. The cast which includes Marsha Thomason, Mena Suvari, Callum Blue, Mark Pellegrino, Breckin Meyer, Mike Vogel, Sonya Walger, and Katherine Heigl are fantastic. The characters are plenty and unique. The plot is pretty simple, but it is done well enough to keep you interested in the whole of the story. I really enjoyed watching this and I am sure you all would as well.

Dragonfyre review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 6 March 2014 04:48 (A review of Dragonfyre)

This movie is truly awful. The make-up effects are terrible and they look like rejects from Lord of the Rings. The storyline is lame and boring. The only good thing about this was the sexy Masiela Lusha other than that it is pretty awful. The lead guy is your typical action hero nobody who can't act and usually is the main on direct to DVD shitfests. I mean jeez this guy is a model! This movie is so bad they changed the title after it had already been out to give it a more interesting name. Honestly the new name looks like a typo and isn't that much better than the original. Don't bother with this one it really isn't worth the time, money, or energy.

Dead in Tombstone review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 6 March 2014 04:39 (A review of Dead in Tombstone)

Danny Trejo is in way too many movies these days. Most of them are direct to DVD movies that may seem pretty lame or pretty good depending on your opinions. Anyways Dina Meyer, Anthony Michael Hall, and Mickey Rourke are in this as well. Anthony Michael Hall plays out of character in this as I have never seen him play a villain before. Mickey Rourke plays the Devil which is the only thing that made me not like this. Mickey Rourke just makes me uncomfortable in this and is shirtless way too often. Also he just doesn't make a good devil. Anyways the plot is pretty simple and there isn't much to it or any major twists. This movie to me is just pure mindless fun. So check it out and you may or may not agree with my opinion.

Elimination review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 5 March 2014 11:56 (A review of Elimination)

This movie is incredibly cheesy and low budget. I guess this would be one of my guilty pleasures. While I enjoyed this cheese I am sure many people most likely will not. I also really liked the concept as when I was a kid I sort of wrote something similar. Anyways enter at your own risk.

Infection: The Invasion Begins review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 5 March 2014 11:21 (A review of Infection: The Invasion Begins)

Don't be fooled by the poster. This movie is complete garbage. Do not ever see this. The acting is poor. The script is awful. It is just horrible. I should have realized when I saw that Lochlyn Munro was involved in it.

Teenagers review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 5 March 2014 10:38 (A review of Teenagers)

This show is similar to that of Degrassi or pretty much a lot of teen shows. Although this is in a shorter format and it is a very serious show and takes it's subjects seriously. The acting is pretty good and the story line is intense. It has two Degrassi actors in it Chloe Rose and Raymond Ablack. I really enjoy this show and it is worth checking out especially if your a fan of Degrassi. Also the Olive girl is definitely going to be one of your favorites for sure.

Mutant Vampire Zombies from the 'Hood! review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 5 March 2014 08:46 (A review of Mutant Vampire Zombies from the 'Hood!)

This movie really sucked. It is low budget. The acting is godawful. Characters appear out of nowhere with no explanation. Definitely one of the worst zombie movies I have ever seen. Even some of the deaths try to make you care about characters with a small amount of screen time. Avoid this as it is absolutely not worth wasting the time it takes to watch it or the money you would spend.

The Baytown Outlaws review

Posted : 10 years, 2 months ago on 5 March 2014 08:42 (A review of The Baytown Outlaws)

I really loved this little Indie film. The cast is great, the action is badass, and the plot is on point. The biggest faces in this are Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria, Andre Braugher, Paul Wesley, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Daniel Cudmore (X-Men 2), Michael Rapaport, Zoe Bell, Agnes Bruckner, and Serinda Swan (Tron: Legacy). The violence is intense and is almost non-stop. One of my favorites for sure. I thought it was an all around interesting and good watch. It is definitely worth seeing in my opinion.
