A Good Man Is Hard to Find review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 07:43 (A review of A Good Man Is Hard to Find)

Despite Lance E. Nichols, Golden Brooks, Melissa De Sousa, and Darrin Dewitt Henson I just couldn't find much enjoyment with this movie. It is just plain boring. The acting is iffy. The story line hardly melds together. It just seems thrown together. It's a waste of time in my opinion.

Jewtopia review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 07:25 (A review of Jewtopia)

I am a part of the lower percentage of people that actually enjoyed this I guess. I thought it was quite funny and had some good moments. The story is funny and a little cheesy, but it does make sense. The characters are quirky and fun. I particularly enjoyed Adam Lipschitz and his hilariously awkward moments. The interactions he has with his bride to be are the best part of the movie. In fact I could care less about the actual main character to be honest which is why I didn't rate this higher. I also could have done without Lin Shaye I really despise that annoying old lady. The cast for the most part is otherwise pretty interesting with the likes of hottie Jennifer Love Hewitt, the unusual Peter Stormare, Christine Lakin, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Jon Lovitz, and Tom Arnold amongst others. Love isn't just focused on one religion. I have met many people who are married with different religions. One such married couple in Ethiopia I met was a Muslim man and a Christian woman. Anyways it is an unusual film, but I found it enjoyable. It may not be for everyone, but I was fond of it.

AWFUL 0/10

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 07:10 (A review of Breaking Wind)

This movie is really, really, really fucking bad. The jokes are stale and unfunny. Do people still laugh at constant fart jokes? How did they even get away with using the characters actual names. I think the only reason they got away with it is because the title isn't the same. The characters are lame and useless. I mean we already have a spoof of Twilight so why the hell was this even necessary? Danny Trejo is in this which saddens me greatly. Did he owe something to the director? Was he having a crisis? This is probably what puzzled me the most as I just can't seem to make sense of the fact that he lowered himself to this complete shit. I didn't laugh one time. I don't even know what reason I had to watch this. I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. I do this so I can help others to not see the horrible things I have to go through to save them from wasting their time. Don't waste anything you have on this. It makes Disaster Movie look like a masterpiece and I hated that movie!

Run review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 06:52 (A review of Run)

This movie surprised me. I wasn't really expecting much from it as it is a direct to DVD movie. The simple title also would turn many people away from giving it a shot as well. The cast is pretty interesting and a little silly. It has Eric Roberts, Kelsey Chow, William Moseley, Adrian Pasdar, and Edoardo Ballerini. Also it was good to see William Moseley again after his Narnia movies. This has a lot of cliched stuff involved, but it has it's own dash of originality as while it seems like Step Up and such movies the core of the movie is centered on Parkour which is amazing. Parkour is one of coolest sports to me and is truly artful. That's probably why I enjoyed this movie so much. Anyways if you are a fan f Parkour you will love this. If you aren't then this movie is probably not for you.

You're Next review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 06:46 (A review of You're Next)

I really love horror movies especially when they try to be a little different. I really enjoyed this one. The characters are interesting and fun. There are a few familiar faces, but the ones who really caught my eye were the beautiful Australian Sharni Vinson and Horror Icon Ti West. The plot thickens with each scene as you try to figure out what is really going on. The death scenes are a little lackluster for a horror buff like me, but there are still some creative scenes. There are even some great twists which may or may not be what you'd expect. The ending was pretty cool as well. Check it out. I think it's a good little flick for a Friday night or Halloween.

The Skin I Live In review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 06:39 (A review of The Skin I Live In)

I had been wanting to see this for a really long time as I really like Antonio Banderas. This however was not what I was expecting to see when I hit play. Elena Anaya is quite stunning and a great actress who really shows her skills in this. The story is quite unusual and different. This Indie film is artsy and beautifully filmed while still being able to disturb you easily. The chemistry of the characters is interesting and unique. The characters are unique, flawed, and deep which really ties it all in a nice bow. Just when you think you know what is going on something changes. It truly is far from what you expect going in. The twists and turns will leave you thinking you have just been mind-fucked brutally. It is a well made story with a crazy plot that is quite uncomfortable to watch, but don't let that push you away. Don't let yourself skip this one.

The To Do List review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 06:28 (A review of The To Do List)

I actually really enjoyed this. It isn't movie of the year or a great movie, but it is an enjoyable popcorn flick. Aubrey Plaza is kind of sexy at playing someone who isn't really considered sexy in the movie. This movie is really perverted. It's crazy to find that this movie was written and directed by a woman, although I guess it sort of makes since for the romance aspect of the film. It's funny because my wife is from another country and didn't know the terminology of some of the sex words and her reactions to my explanations were hilarious. The cast is great and includes Bill Hader, Alia Shawkat, Rachel Bilson, Andy Samberg, Donald Glover, Clark Gregg, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. It is highly inappropriate and might be awkward to watch with certain people. That being said I will say that this is definitely worth watching whether male or female.

Outpost: Rise of the Spetsnaz review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 06:06 (A review of Outpost: Rise of the Spetsnaz)

I really enjoyed the first two Outpost films, but this one just doesn't do it for me. It doesn't have the atmosphere that the first two had. The acting is awful and there aren't even any familiar faces. I think it tries too hard to be different and bring something new to the series. For me that is where it failed the hardest. Even the gore was minimal and the monsters were retarded. I really wish they had stuck to the formula of the first two films, but alas this is where the series spiraled on downhill. I don't suggest you watch this if you liked the first 2 as the series will surely feel ruined.

Winter's Tale review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 05:18 (A review of Winter's Tale)

This is director Akiva Goldsman's debut after being the screenwriter for previous movies which ranged from awful to pretty good. Let's see which side of the spectrum his directing skills are at. Now it already has a pretty amazing cast, but that doesn't always mean that it will be a good movie. I think this is the creepiest role I have seen Russell Crowe play so far. The plot is a bit cheesy, but I thought it was a really cute story. This movie has a really tender heart. I loved the twists and how the story pulls together. Definitely worth checking out. It is a bit of a slow burner, but it is worth all the fluff.

Free Birds review

Posted : 10 years, 10 months ago on 7 March 2014 01:12 (A review of Free Birds)

I usually enjoy animated films a lot. This one however was really lame, boring, and just not funny. It's sad because the cast is really interesting which includes Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, George Takei, Amy Poehler, Keith David, Lauren Bowles, and Dan Fogler. I did chuckle a few times for how stupid it was, but that was it. My wife couldn't even finish this as she went to bed rather than see what happened. This is possibly one of the only animated movies I ever skipped through and saw that I pretty much missed still missed nothing. The plot is really weak. I say only kids would like this, but then again kids usually are the most honest. Anyways if your using this site then more than likely you are old enough that this movie won't appeal to you in any way.
